Top ROH Stars Attend WWE Tryout; Correction On Various Circulating Report

- Last week WWE held a tryout camp at their Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, and some of those who attended include top Ring of Honor stars Kevin Steen and Roderick Strong, plus one-half of tag team Adrenaline RUSH, ACH. Reports surfacing from various sources have remarked that officials were impressed with the amount of weight Steen dropped ahead of the tryout, and his stamina during endurance drills.
One of the details various sites are reporting is inaccurate however, and PWMania are happy to correct it. Some are stating that Kevin Steen’s contract expires in June, when in-fact Steen himself stated during his Kevin Steen Show shoot interview with Nigel McGuinness which is available at Highspots.com, that his contract expires in August, not June. The person whose contract expires in June is Michael Elgin, who was rumored to have been attending the tryout but stated during his Reddit.com AMA two weeks ago that he would not be.
Another part of the report going around is saying that Kevin Steen has told people close to him he doesn’t plan on re-signing with Ring of Honor once his deal expires if WWE don’t offer him a contract, and will instead work for them as a free agent much like how Chris Hero and Roderick Strong are currently.
